Bigger and better than ever
Welcome to the sixth Cornwall Food and Drink Festival. Always guaranteed to create a buzz, it is the largest event anywhere dedicated to Cornish food and drink and this year it's even bigger and more action-packed than ever. There will be plenty of fun for all, with so much going on that you can make a real day of it - for the whole family. Unlike many food and drink festivals these days, entry to ours is free and there is no charge for any of the professional demonstrations and activities.
Our focus is still on the amazing quality of the foods and drinks of which the county is proud. There can be few other places - if any - in the UK that produce such a comprehensive range of products of such a consistently high standard. It's little wonder that people travel from far and wide to join the celebration, or that the county has been voted the UK's number one food destination outside the capital*.
At this year's festival you will see farmers, artisans and acclaimed chefs, all from Cornwall, demonstrating the dedication, skill and hard work that have created that well deserved reputation.

World class ingredients
Cornwall has everything to inspire great chefs to create great dishes - breathtaking locations, an aspirational lifestyle and, most importantly, an unbeatable range of world-class ingredients.
An amazing varity of fish, the freshest you will find anywhere; succulent meat and rich dairy produce from animals that graze on the county's green slopes; vegetables grown in a kind and clean climate. The list is long...
I love this festival because it puts the people who create Cornwall's great food and drink in touch with those who buy it and eat it. And when you see the excitement and energy that it generates, you know it's really beginning to change the way we all think about our food. Long may it continue.

Rory & Paddy’s Even Greater British Adventure
This is a six- part series for Five, made by IWC Media. The programme follows two comedians Rory McGrath, who is a local lad from Redruth and Paddy McGuinness as they tour the UK.
The aim of the programme is for the presenters to try their hand at traditional British activities, crafts and events. In each region they receive training on the chosen skill from a master of the craft and then they are put head to head to battle out who is best.
The challenge for the South West region is to learn how to create a traditional Cornish pasty and to recreate it live on the Heritage Stage at 12pm on Friday 25 September.
The comedy duo will have learnt the tricks of the trade from Lucy Taylor at the The Pasty Shop in Looe before heading down for the competition in front of a live audience at the festival.
