Cornwall Food and Drink Festival

Festival Marquee, Lemon Quay, Truro

Celebrating the very best of Cornish food and drink

Using the Cornish Heritage Kitchen local chefs and cooks show us how easy it is to cook traditional recipes made with the finest local produce

The popular Cornish Heritage Kitchen is always a main attraction in the food marquee. Roy Heath, the sustainable food manager for the Cornwall Food Programme, will take to the stage, demonstrating good hearty dishes using local food and drink selected from businesses at the festival.

The Nare Hotel, one of the county’s great culinary destinations, will be cooking up its renowned Sunday roast with the best Cornish beef.

Attending for the first time is Marks & Spencer, which has invited one of its own

chefs to explain how much local Cornish produce is now sold at its local stores and demonstrate some delicious recipes you can try at home.

The popular Baker Tom will return again this year to challenge you with his latest range of breads - you’re sure to discover a few surprise ingredients.

Roy will be working closely with Andy Atkinson from Cornish Orchards, showing how perfectly his local cider works in your favourite home dishes. You will also be introduced to some new flavours and combinations during the demonstrations.

Look out for Allet Dairy, which already has a range of
top-selling goat’s cheese and milk, and is now adding goat’s meat to its range. Already popular with local restaurants, Roy will demonstrate how easy it is to cook at home.
