Cornwall Food and Drink Festival starts a month of celebration... With over 50 events taking place, Cornwall Celebration of Food starts in style with Cornwall Food and Drink Festival and continues throughout the whole of October. As a result of feedback from last year’s events, the organisers have developed a new ‘Eating Out’ strand of the celebration. Look out for restaurants putting on events during October such as special menus, themed evenings and guest speakers. This strand will incorporate ‘Fine Dining for Kids’ aimed at families who love to eat well, with special early sittings at high quality restaurants across the county. If you love local ales and top quality Cornish sausages, you’ll love the Beer & A Banger strand of the celebration, hosted by Cornwall’s pubs and inns. Finally throughout October, there will be the opportunity for producers to throw open their farm doors to let you see how the food is made. Highlights during the month include special events at Fifteen Cornwall, a Rick Stein demonstration, tours of Camel Valley Vineyard and fine dining for kids at Truro’s Saffron restaurant.
