Cornwall Food and Drink Festival

Festival Marquee, Lemon Quay, Truro

Celebrating the very best of Cornish food and drink

Cornish Heritage Kitchen cookery brings you recipes and traditional skills...

If you need inspiration for what to make with your purchases from the food pavilion and farmers’ market, this is where you need to head.
In the centre of the food pavilion you will find a warm and welcoming Cornish Range and some delicious aromas circulating.
Throughout the festival we are highlighting traditional culinary skills, such as breadmaking and pasty crimping, together with appearances from chefs, from local restaurants and HMS Raleigh, amongst others!
There really is something for everyone and lots of tastings and samples to try as well as our popular ‘Taste Challenge’, where we ask you to test your taste buds with local and organic foods.
Every morning you can see ‘Baker Tom’ preparing and baking bread on site, using traditional methods and the finest west country ingredients.
All the bread is proved twice over, giving each product a unique taste and texture.
Some of Tom’s specialities are Cornish cyder bread, rye and focaccia.

The traditional Cornish Range we are using is built in Cornwall. The Heritage Range Cooker has the appearance of a traditional range but employs upto- date technology and will burn even the latest ‘green’ bio fuels.
Artisan Cookshop have very kindly supplied some of the kitchen equipment.
