Previously at Le Petit Blanc, a Raymond Blanc
restaurant in Cheltenham, Ben has created a name
for himself in Cornwall, achieving two AA rosettes at
The Old Quay House and impressing critics and editors

chef Kevin Viner 1.30pm day 1
One of the country’s finest chefs, Kevin is now the
proprietor and head chef at Viners Restaurant near
Newquay. Having twice won the UK National Chef of
the Year, and the AA’s Chef of the Year, he is now a judge
of many of the top national chef competitions.

chef Jude Kereama 3pm day 1
A Maori chef with a hint of Malay, Jude moved
to London in the mid-1990s. He now owns Kota in
Porthleven, which has recently been recognised by
Michelin, the AA and Harden’s UK Restaurant Guide.

Having worked in the gruelling kitchens of central London for
many years, Nigel and partner Melanie relocated to Cornwall
and Tabb’s was born. After a long success in Portreath,
Tabb’s moved to Truro, where Nigel creates inspiring dishes
that use the best of seasonal and local produce.

chef Paul Ainsworth 12pm day 2
Head chef at No.6, Paul trained under Marcus Wareing
at Petrus in London and spent time working in Gordon
Ramsay’s kitchens. Having just won ‘The Good Food Guide’s
Cornwall Restaurant of the Year Award,’ No.6 is now tipped
to be the next Cornish restaurant to receive a Michelin star.

Head chef at the Porthminster Beach Café where he
has been working for the last four years, following
time in Australia, London and Edinburgh. With world

Neil is head chef at Fifteen Cornwall and is
overseeing the teams at the Big Brunch Challenge.
Each team includes Cornish Scouts and trainee
chefs from Fifteen Cornwall. The teams go
head-to-head in a sizzling cook-off.

Mark has been chef/owner of Trawlers On The Quay in Looe
for the past three years, earning a reputation as a purveyor
of top-class ingredients, cooked to perfection. Attracted by
the buzzy atmosphere of Looe, he has become a champion
of the area, involved with Taste South East Cornwall.

chef Nathan Outlaw 3pm day 3
Having trained with Rick Stein and Gary Rhodes, Nathan
now has his own signature restaurant at the well-established
Marina Villa Hotel. Nathan previously showed his
skills at St Ervan Manor near Padstow and the Black Pig
restaurant in Rock, achieving Michelin stars at both venues.

A fish merchant for 44 years, selling up to 40 varieties of quality seafood.

Robin Turner Fish Auctioneer 1.30pm day 3
Robin is one of only two auctioneers licensed to sell fish at Newlyn.
He is a partner in the family fish merchants J H Turner and Co, a secretary
of Seafood Cornwall and chairman of South West Pesca.

Jon’s veal calves are from a pedigree Guernsey and Holstein dairy herd.
