Celebrating the very best of Cornish food and drink

When it comes to food and drink,Cornwall takes centre stage and it is a pleasure to welcome you to the fifth Cornwall Food and Drink Festival. Join us as we showcase and celebrate the wealth of quality restaurants, chefs and food and drink producers we have in the county. More people than ever are involved with this year’s festival, a sure reflection of how much we all value our local food and drink.

We have three days of action to share with you, bringing together the county’s best food and drink businesses. More than 20 of our top chefs will be demonstrating in the Rangemaster Cookery Theatre, many of them working alongside their favourite local producers. Another highlight this year is The Magnificent Seven on Saturday. Led by Kevin Viner, who, along with his six fellow chefs, will be cooking the most soughtafter lunch in the county. Don’t miss how they work together in one kitchen!

The Funky Food Marquee is an exciting new addition this year, with a timetable of activities for children including vegetable sculpting and the longest pastastretching competition with Neil Haydock from Fifteen Cornwall.

The heart of the festival is, of course, the Cornish food and drink producers themselves, who fill the marquee and spill onto Lemon Quay over the weekend with the arrival of the Truro Farmers Market. New participants this year include Ansome Bangers from Looe and Larsen’s Organics from Truro. Old favourites, such as Cornish Orchards will be here, sharing their knowledge with Roy Heath, who will be demonstrating some good home cooking in the Heritage Cookery Area.

The festival extends into the evenings this year, with two events at Lemon Street Market. The best Cornish cheese producers are testing themselves against their national and international counterparts - all expertly matched with world wines. All this would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of a growing number of sponsors. Particular thanks go to our key sponsors; St Austell Brewery, The Greenbank Hotel, Inside Cornwall Magazine, Trelawney Garden Leisure, Viners Restaurant and Fodders Restaurant.
